Situation

The healthcare system can be overwhelming and fragmented for patients navigating serious health conditions. In response, the Center for Integrative Health & Wellness Marin General Hospital (now MarinHealth Integrative Wellness Center in Marin County, CA) was founded to provide individuals facing life-changing diagnoses with a place where they could access not only expert medical care but also compassionate, evidence-based integrative therapies to support their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Innovative in-patient and out-patient support programs were designed and run in close collaboration with leading oncologists, cardiologists, urologists, gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, emergency room physicians, registered dieticians, chaplains, and others.
